Payment is due at the time of service. I currently accept credit card, debit card, and cash.
Root & Branch Counseling is a private-pay practice. I chose this model because I value the flexibility to make treatment decisions with my clients without routinely involving an insurance company in that process.
Private pay also allows you to receive care without submitting a diagnosis or treatment information to an insurer. Your information remains subject to the same professional confidentiality protections and legal exceptions that apply to other forms of therapy.
I don't provide superbills or other documentation for insurance reimbursement. If you have questions about this, you're welcome to ask during our consultation.
Why I Choose Private Pay
I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee appointments for clients for whom the full fee presents a financial barrier.
If cost is a concern, you're welcome to ask about current availability during our consultation. Asking for what you need is part of the work, and we can talk about what may be possible before you decide whether to begin.

Good Faith Estimates
If you're not using insurance to pay for therapy, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges.
I'll provide an estimate in accordance with federal requirements, and you're also welcome to request one before scheduling an appointment. To learn more about your rights, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
