About Individual Talk Therapy
My approach to individual counseling with adults is rooted in humanistic and existential principles, focusing on your inherent capacity for wellness and growth. We work together to understand the person you are today and the life you want to build, moving away from pathology and toward a life defined by your own values and authentic voice.
A Relational and Wellness-Focused Perspective
To support your unique journey, I integrate several evidence-based, clinical modalities tailored to your needs. This includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you navigate difficult thoughts while moving toward what matters most, and Motivational Interviewing to help you find your own internal spark for change. I also incorporate Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, a non-religious clinical lens that explores your meaning-making system —whether you are navigating religious trauma, finding strength in your faith, or identifying as atheist or secular.
My goal is to provide a nurturing, non-judgmental partnership where you can speak your truth openly. By honoring the connection between your mind, body, spirit, and cultural environment, we work to rebuild hope and help you step into a future that feels truer to who you are.
Our Journey
-
This is a time for me to learn about your history, your current environment, and the values that are most important to you. Together, we’ll identify the "steady ground" you’re looking for.
This intake session will be 50 minutes long and can be either virtual or in-person. At the end of our session, we will have set a path for our work ahead.
-
We will typically meet for 50-minute weekly sessions, either in-person or virtually. In this space, I show up as a genuine, nurturing partner. We may draw from a variety of perspectives—honoring your inner world, your physical presence, and your ecosystems that have shaped you. This is your sanctuary to move at your own pace and be as vulnerable as you need to be.
-
Therapy is meant to be a season, not a permanent destination. As you begin to feel more connected to your authentic self and equipped to navigate life's transitions, we will move toward "graduation." I view termination with deep respect, taking the time to honor the work you’ve done and ensuring you feel sturdy and prepared for the journey ahead.
